Post subject: installing lenny from an USB-key on iBook clamshell
Archived from groups: linux>debian>ports>powerpc (more info?)

Hi,

I was able to successfully boot debian installer on a old iBook 300
clamshell from an USB-key with two modifications regarding the
instructions on [1]:

1. I had to shorten the business card iso image name so it ended with
the propper extension name (.iso)
2. instead of issuing the command suggested on [1] "boot
usb0/disk:2,\\:tbxi" on openfirmware i issued "boot
usb0/hub@1/disk@3:2,yaboot"

I cannot perform the installation wright now because I have to do some
backup stuff. When I can I would propably fill a bug report on
installation-guide-powerpc, is that wright?

Cheers,
