Hey,
I'm looking for a free anti-virus program for Linux on a corporate basis.
I've looked around but everything seems to cost. Isn't the whole idea that
things are FREE??? Is there a free linux anti-virus program anywhere???
Thanks

No. Nothing in the GPL prevents someone from selling his product. He
also has to provide the source. |

Ok. But you only need that for protecting MS-Windows machines though ...

So?
You want computing resorces to stay available in "corporate" setting, no?
(It would probably cost a lot more, having to repair infected boxen ... )

chkrootkit is included most of the times or downloadable for free.
Or (but mostly for windows viruses) clamav.
What do you want to achieve with your corporate virus scanner - scan samba
shares, mounted windows drives?
Now "FREE" doesn't necessarily mean "at no cost", and noone is strictly
bound to GPL license.

Virus in Linux ? - Hi, I want to know why some say it's impossible to make a virus for linux like there are for windows. Why? Can't there be a virus made that might infect the kernel (can't imagine how) in someway and then it would just spread all over? Is it possible?...
