Post subject: Keyboard stops responding in Opera 9.52 on Ubuntu 8.04

If I open a new window by clicking on the + next to the tabs chances are
that Opera will stop responding to keyboard input. This also happens
many times while selecting dropdowns with a mouse.

This has been consistent in all the 9.x versions of Opera on Ubuntu 8.04
