Post subject: ITP: libgtk2-ex-printdialog-perl - a pure-perl alternative to the Gnome2::Print libraries
Archived from groups: linux>debian>maint>perl (more info?)

Hi Jeffrey!

> I would like to join the debian-perl group, starting with this bit of packaging. Over and above the standard Debian packaging guidelines. Is there anything I should be aware of?

This is an interesting and highly capable group of people so the most
important thing to know is to take advantage of their experience. The
mailing list is active as is IRC and there are some excellent
documents available as well.

I recommend you bookmark the homepage[0] on Alioth, it is a good
starting point. Then check out this document[1] on using subversion -
it shows the basic work flow and some of the tools you'll use when
packaging and injecting new packages into the subversion repo on
Alioth. The subversion repository is sort of a 'staging' area where
everyone can look at incoming software, work on it, and check it out
before it gets sent off into debian in general.

Welcome! And I look forward to speaking with you on IRC or the mailing list!

Regards,

Jeremiah
