I have slackware 10 installed working great.
I was wondering if anyone had the same problem or heard of this
situation.....
I installed firefox and it was working perfect, so I decided to delete
/usr/local/firefox and I installed Mozilla, to see which was faster and
such, now when I run firefox it says:
***loading the extensions datasource
and it repeats (this is the output from xterm)
if i run it as root it works fine any sugestions?
thunderbird won't execute under my account either

Also remember that all kinds of per-user settings are stored under
$HOME/.mozilla

Both firefox and mozilla will both try to put settings there. Maybe try
deleting the dot directory.
