Is it possible to have the "Window" menu item displayed all the time?

Running Opera 8.00 Final (1095) under Linspire 5.0.59

By "All the time", you mean ...?

The menu bar is not displayed in fullscreen mode, nor are the other
toolbars. If you want your Window menu displayed in fullscreen, that's a
little bit of work (but could be done).

On the other hand, if you're just worried about getting a Window menu at
the same time as you have "Show close button on each tab", you can do
that. Tell Opera to duplicate the default menu setup, then edit that setup
with a text editor. First, remove everything you won't need - keep only
the [Version], [Info] and [Browser Menu Bar] sections and the comments at
the start of the file.

Find the following lines in the [Browser Menu Bar] section:

Platform Mac, Submenu, 67396, Browser Window Menu
Platform Windows-Unix-QNX, Feature MDI, Submenu, 67396, Browser Window Menu

Of course, the first line is redundant, you're not using a Mac. The second
line, you need to remove the "Feature MDI," part. You could remove the
platform stuff also, so that you end up with:

Submenu, 67396, Browser Window Menu

Save the file, now no matter which mode you are in, the Window menu will
appear.
