question about vpa + winxp pro sp3

Hello everybody,

bought a new pc and got some problems:

When i start vpa (the last actual one vpa 3.62c, just copied the whole
planets folder to my new hdd @ new pc, installed winplan to got those needed
dll's into windows system folder) i noticed i can't read anything!

All text is scrambled ... look like someone paints ******* (bigger) over all
text like planets names/natives/ships/resources, same as ship names when i
click them.

The normal thinks like minefields, markers WITH TEXT! etc. are fully
functionabel ...

Old System (only Software, as i think it must be a softwareproblem): Windows
XP Pro SP2 with all available Windows Updates
New System: Windows XP Pro SP3 with all available Windows Updates.

Anyone got an idea what happened?

Use vpa in compatability mode has no helpful function.

Anyway still have an old vpa version also in another folder (vpa 3.51c)
still also same problem ...

Any hints please?

If needed the hardware:

Old P4 2,4C, 1536 RAM, Radeon 9700
New Core 2 Duo E8400, 4096 RAM, Radeon 4850

Try the VPAMM version. It uses a different graphics kernel. For some
people, it works better.
