Seiken Densetsu 4 (PlayStation2)

for those of you not familar with Seiken Densetsu series - the very
first was released on the original GameBoy and was called Final
Fantasy Adventure in the west.
the 2nd game, Seiken Densetsu 2, was made for the Super Famicom, and is
much better known as Secret of Mana on the SNES in the west.
originally planned for the
SNES-CD-ROM, the game was shrunk down onto 16-meg cart.
Seiken Densetsu 3, probably the most loved game in the series, was
released on the Super Famicom in 1995 in Japan only, and never
officially reached western markets. SD3 is on a cart, 32-meg, twice
the size of the one used in SD2, and made SD3 one of the most beautiful
games ever, surpassing FFVI / III and rivalling Chrono Trigger. years
later as emulators became widespread, an english translation of SD3
was done, and you will often find it called
Secret of Mana 2, which is of course, unofficial, but a real blessing
since Nintendo and Square never saw fit to release this awesome game in
western markets, instead, giving us the unspeakably awful Secret of
Evormore.
not going to go into the other games in the series (PS1, GBA) becuase
I dont know much about them. but I am very much looking forward to
Children of Mana on the DS and SD4 on PS2.
