Just FYI, really: I noticed that Steam lets you create groups now,
so I created a ugvm group.
You can also run non-steam games through steam now (e.g. Doom, WoW etc) so
it would be a good way to get a headsup that a friend is playing online.

Please don't invite this person. He is an FPS-hating queen.
Invite someone like Skidpro, he would be a fantastic addition to any kind of
group. |

I didn't realise that this was invite only. I've done a few invites
but I'll be away from my Steam PC for 7 days (trip to NYC!) so will attend
to the rest on my return.
I think, perhaps, the people I've invited can now invite people themselves?
