Nevermind. There's no point in vasting time just to satisfy my

That really sucks (for you, I mean).

We are not lions (at last were weren't last time I checked). There's a
lot more to children than just DNA, socialisation is just as important.
Children aren't about spreading genes, they are about spreading ideas.

Let's see... I'm not /quite/ broken, depressed at times, hurt now and
again, angry at the world in general and myself in particular and
definitely sarcastic. Too late, I'd say.

Tell that to a teenager!

On the loin thing, I would just be mean and intolerant to children from
a previous relation. No-one gets better of that.

I know of a guy that fell in love in an online game, and got dumped in
that very same game by that same girl. Then she started dating someone
else in the guild that they shared. I can't imagine how hard that was
for him!

> If you're interested in companionship, making friends certainly helps.

My girlfriend collects Mattel dolls. We don't have that much in common
when it comes to hobbies. Maybe for the best, we would fight over who
could have a new doll we just found on eBay!

> Sorry I appear to be the only female left in this particular little

You would travel to Germany to see someone you met on the internet?

I know I nearly travelled to Finland to meet someone, but that someone
turned out to be of a gender I have no interest in forming a romantic
relationship with.

My point really is that for a girl it is okay to meet guys in virtual
life. Because they are a very desired minority of players. But for a guy
it can be pain and misery. Add to that that guys tend to want multiple
partners while a girl can turn out tied up to an infant for 4 or 5 years
as a result from a relation. They are a minority /and/ they are less
likely to accept a relation from just anyone.

As you can see, I spend a lot of time thinking on this.

Five or four years? Make that two decades, minimum.

I've always thought that in-person interaction must come at some point
before throwing yourself too completely into such an attachment. That
said, it's hard to stay level-headed.

I have traveled to Germany, and I'll probably go again at some point.

But I was thinking of it as if AGC were a group that met in-person. I'm
too shy to meet people one-on-one at first. But it is all about that
in-person interaction with me.

Yeah, I think you need to knock that off. Smile

You seem to be laden with stale ideas, since every person is quite
unique, regardless of gender.

Sounds like when I was young. Perfectly normal for a youngster!

You won't like a broken heart though. I know I didn't. Took me years to
recover.

I wish I could be less monogamous and more a kind of serial dater. That
said, I have a girlfriend now and hope it will last until we both die of
old age!

Well, at least women are attracted to you then... Unless you have reason
to believe we are be untruthful?

There was some research. And that is the time a women needs (including
pregnancy) to raise a child. Biologically that is.

That is why relations tend to fail after four years. Women instinct.

Maybe relationships fail because the guy keeps unconsciously insulting
the woman.

I've heard about this 2-5 year rule... It refers to how long simple
infatuation can last, and that's for both members of a couple. It's been
speculated that this is about as long as a mating pair needs to stay
together for the survival of offspring.

I know they had photographs of each other. And one of them was married,
which kind of complicates things.

Maybe you should go visit emmel! Not to start a relationship with him of
course. But as a fan of his stories maybe. He could read you some of
them over a cup of tea and chocolate. As a friend so to speak.

I don't want someone that is unique. "I want the one I cannot have" as
Morrissey put it on one of his albums.

He continues: "And it is driving me mad".

Stale for you maybe, but still very real for me. And I feel sorry for my
girlfriend because of it. If you get the one you want, it is all very
easy for you. But love doesn't always work that way.
