Post subject: "real" wargaming
Archived from groups: comp>sys>ibm>pc>games>war-historical (more info?)

In a post a couple of weeks ago, someone mentioned that he would love
to play a "real" wargame; FOW on both your own and enemy troops,
manoeuvres by map, never knowing if your orders are received and/or
followed by your subordinates etc etc.

Roaming the 'net I came upon this site that proposes to do just that:
'professional' wargames: http://prowargame.com/

I cannot easily see how much fun it is supposed to be and I am also a
bit put off by the bidding thing for positions (so the richest guy can
play army commander and not the one with the best previous results),
but it sure is intruiging.

Any thoughts in this group on this way of playing wargames?

Bas
