| Every single time I start this game it starts
some screen which complains about obsolete video drivers, even though I have
updated them several times. I have geforce 2. I have none of these problems
in other games. Even if I click the "dont show this message again", it
ALWAYS shows it when i start the game

Well as far as I know what you are saying is bull. Geforce 2 with 64 mb
memory is as fast as
Ati Radeon 64 mb memory. I have both. Come back when you actually know
something about
video cards. Also as far as I know ati radeon and geforce 2 are still
working with 99 % of modern games, which means they are still made, unlike
old classics like voodoo series which
do not work with most games. Anyway the problem in buying a new videocard is
the fact that many of the cards do NOT work with all games. Plus if you
wanna upgrade your computer,
video cards is the best way. But fast cards cost a lot of buck. Anyway with
my old video cards
I donīt notice any change in game speeds in my old 1200 mhz processor and
new 3500 mhz Cpu.

Yeah, same here. I haven't noticed much difference (in performance) with
software/games released before 2002/3 from my old 1.2Ghz Athlon. I remember
when I assebled that workstation. Now that was a good machine! |

Make sure the game is patched, there is only one patch, but it fixes allot
of bugs.
Make sure the drivers you are running for your graphics card are up to
date... and as another poster said, maybe consider upgrading. You can get a
newer, and much faster graphics card for a relatively small price. I played
Homeworld 2 on a Geforce 6800 Ultra, and I still didn't get the speed
results I was after.
It's a great game though, don't give up.
