For me there are three reason I haven;t fired it up yet...

1) I have a deadline on a review of another computer game, which I have to
start playing.. (bad excuse)

2) The game is ordered, but didn;t arrive yet (with torrents and all, bad
excuse number 2)

3) Never, ever start a serious game before the 2nd patch is out (that isn;t
an excuse anymore, it's the truth out there!)

Nevertheless... How's the game?

I havent touched the demo. Is it only the 3d engine, or is there more under
the cap?

Have played a bit of the demo - then Saturday morning it crashed through
a match - so just turned my laptop off!

I think even without the 3D engine - there's some great new additions.
Like the News Conferences - although so far, I've been told my answers
will have pleased my players!! And that a lot more teams are looking to
loan before buying, which is good.

Well, I'm not... I skipped FM08 and I will skip FM09 because honestly
FML is occupying a lot of my free time already.

Why not? The save I'm still playing on FM2006 is the save I started on
the very first day and I haven't had any problems. In fact, I've never
had any problems continuing saves over multiple patches.

You missed two excuses:-

4) I haven't even ordered it because the copy protection puts me off.
(Not everyone has a problem with it).

5) 3D match engine aside, I'm still not convinced it's really going to
be enough of an advance over what I already had. (I would have got it
anyway myself).
