It used to do that to me too, before I updated to Thunderbird 2. But it
might be the newsserver or the settings. OE6 was far worse though.

There have been a lot of MI5 Persecution post lately. It could easily be
those. They show up on one newsserver I use, but not on another one.
There are 37 of those since 11-11, 7 just in the last 48 hours.
