Post subject: question about lizard movement

Hello everybody,


a lizard ship got 110% damage by minehit, how fast these lizard ship (mbr)
can move? Warp4?

And second question: There is an enemy flagship (still using flagship addon)
at same point in space: If the Lizard MBR tows the Merlin-Flagship about
30lys, and the Merlin fly away (under 81ly, should be around 1-2 ly back to
homeworld where more poppers are available), will the mbr tow those
flagship, or not?

For Tim's host, the formula is 14 - Trunc(Damage/10), so your ship can
move warp 3. For PHost, it's 15 - Trunc(Damage/10), so it would be warp 4.

Second question still waits for an answer ... can a heavily damaged MBR
(110% damage) tow a Merlin (Transwarp + Heavy Phaser) as long as the
Merlin's waypoint is under 81ly !? Normally no prob for mbrs as of
Gravitonic Engines ... but dunno what will happend as of the damage!?

Anyone knows?

Quoting Donovan's Site (http://www.xs4all.nl/~donovan/help/
categorised.htm and select Tow under ships):

If the ship that is the target of the tractor beam has a warp factor
greater than or equal to the ship using the tractor beam, and the
waypoint of the target is further than it's warpsetting squared
(warp^2), the target ship will break free of the tractor beam. When
comparing warpsettings between tower and target, the value for the
tower is doubled if that ship has gravitonic accelerators (the BR4,
BR5 and MBR). So a BR4 at warp 5 will count as being at warp 10, and
always overpower the target ship.

You read that prior asking! Asked as i would like to know of damage change
this formula in any way ...

Anyway: MBR towed the enemy flagship, and his race is dead now Wink
