i don't think i've ever not finished a game. even when i thought it
sucked, i downloaded a trainer just to go into god mode and finish out
the blasted thing. i don't like to leave things unfinished.
i even finished ONI! that's a feat in itself, considering how easy it
was to fall asleep at the keys with all that recreated, monochromatic
'scenery.' ugh.
oh......jaws. that's the only game i didn't finish cause it sucked so
bad. but what do you expect.....?
my point is......maybe i'll keep plugging away at stalker over time to
complete it. i'm still hanging in there with assassins' creed, and
that's just about as dull as dirt.

good to see ya drac! I agree. If we could format what we see to resemble
OE/Agent layout, it would be workable.

I don't like webforums but I don't like the recent TR games either, so
I guess that's just about it for me.
Maybe your observation that usenet might be too intellectually
challenging and my observation that the game has become more of a
kiddy jump game then an interesting puzzle adventure could together
explain the demise of this group.
If anyone knows of a game vagely remniscent of TR's glory and that is
NOT about me neurotically pressing on a controller to reach a save
point (like 100000 other games out there so why add TR to it) please
don't keep it a secret for me.
Puzzle adventures don't sell? Huh? Why was myst one of the best
selling games of all time then?
Also, surveys show that vast numbers of pc gamers are > 30 years of
age. So why are all games today made for turbo adolescents then?

Oh, it's not dead.

I agree that games these days could be more. I think we're waiting for the
next gaming breakthrough of some kind. But I'll take the next Croft (as
long as it runs on my PS2).

And Riven. Loved Riven.
