gta4 truck hustle mision

In this mission, when you leave phil's ofice ray says
"i'll be in touch nicky" and gets in a car...So at this point
you can try and shoot ray but his car is indestructable.

Has anyone else tried to place a bomb under his car or does he drive
off to fast?

Also if you try to follow him his car will go real fast and then disappear.

I tried screwing around a little with one or two missions. One for sure i
ran into a similar situation. Couldn't blow up the vehicle. And another i
started then aborted just to get the hearse. Still on my 1'st play through,
but on the second round maybe i'll see what can be exploited by diverting
from missions once they're triggered.

Just for shits i've followed Jacob a couple times after loading up on
weapons. After the transaction, the game seems to turn him into a random
pedestrian. I bounced him with no penalties after he stopped and got out of
his car.

Now i see why Comcast is dropping their newsgroups soon. Doesn't seem like
many people use them anymore.
