Thankfully there is not a lot of fighting in the game. |

I managed to get two (awful, cheap) USB keyboards for my Wii and 360
from there for £2.50 apiece.

The only thing that somebody else actually bought for me was Mirror's Edge.
It's very, very good. I'm less interested in the story than the time trials
so far, but it appears I must complete more chapters to unlock more time
trial courses. Fair enough, I suppose. One thing that disappoints is that
very few people on my friends list have set any times to aim for. There were
a few on the first few levels, but I'm guessing they weren't very serious
attempts given the ease with which they were beaten...
My cheap Midnight Club arrived on Christmas Eve, so that *felt* like a
Christmas present. Having played it, I'd say if it were a Christmas present
it would be a pair of gaudy socks. It's no Crash Time, that's for sure.
I did get a Game voucher as well, with which I went into town this morning
and acquired Civ:Rev (which is utterly, utterly great) and Mercenaries 2
(which I haven't played yet). I also spent some cash I received on Prince of
Persia from Play, which hasn't arrived yet.
Finally, I treated myself to some MS Points and bought Puzzle Arcade.
Perfect stress-free gaming - there's a lot there for the money, too.
I *definitely* need to cancel my rental account for a few months now.

I got a grow-your-own-chilli-plant kit - well, two packets of chilli seeds and
a trowel, anyway.
Got nothing gaming-present-wise, but I bought myself a PS3, which I remain
quite unimpressed by, despite LBP being Eurogamer's Readers Game of the Year.
The Blu-ray and DVD upscaling bits are lovely, though.

Very nearly bought this on sunday, but the queue in PC World was ridiculous
and I needed to get some food before the supermarkets shut. Bah. I'll keep an
eye out.

Don't worry. I *will* be getting this in a week or so, so you'll have
someone to play against!

Generally no I don't get motion sickness from FPS. Not even Bioshock made
me feel queasy when many were complaining about it. |
