The shop is called Movil I think. It has its own branding on the outside
but they have some Game posters in Spanish and the pre-owned stickers are
the same white and orange design. I declared it fake because they would not
accept my loyalty card. )

Great game, but needs a lot of attention. |

So next time you want to buy stuff from an online Canadian store then it
won't matter? |

Any suggestions? Without offending, I never did find anything distinctive
about Canadian cuisine. Bacon at one end, BC potato crisps at the other.
And the people I know who live in Canada are sick of local vittles anyway.
-KKC, who missed the first 's' when typing the word 'crisps' and was brief
amused by the thought of Los Angeles street gangs extending their
influence into Canadian granaries.

No suggestions on which food, but maybe there is a Canadian store which
sells American food. |

Remember that I sent English muffins and scones in these gift packages.
The phrase "American food" makes me think of my girlfriend's trip to
Austria as a young exchange student. As the representative Yank, she was
pressed into evaluating the authenticity of an American-styled diner found
inexplicably just outside of Vienna. Her hamburger had a lovingly toasted
and buttered bun, crisp and fresh lettuce and tomato, tart and solid
mayonaise, and a meat patty made from *ham* instead of beef. She remembers
being very polite about it.

I didn't really get any as such. I ordered Tomb Raider Underworld in the
BA just before Chrimbo for myself and it arrived yesterday. Having had a
go at it this morning it's Tomb Raider all right, but with beautiful
graphics, nicely animated Lara, better hint systems and just everything
turned up a few degrees. I've done the opening level which was nicely
gripping. If you've liked her adventures previously I heartily recommend
this - I've only pushed one block so far and there seems to be multiple
ways to get to the solution of the "big puzzle rooms" TR does so much
of. So, an evolution that shows some thought has been put into things
but it still requires patience as if you charge at things you can miss
jumps and the camera can still be a bit flakey, but as I said I think
this isn't and never has been a game that lends itself to trying to play
fast. It also feels like they've cribbed some ideas from Uncharted as
well, as the combat is much better and the level designs are, from what
I've seen, far more varied.
I also got, before Christmas, for myself, Fable 2, but I've only had a
30 minute go as HC has done her once every 2 years find a game she likes
and is hogging it. |

Last month I slated the demo for not moving onwards, but after playing the
full game I realised it is a better game and was really enjoyable. I eat my
words with mayonnaise. |

FIFA 09 and Prince of Persia on 360.
PoP really is utterly gorgeous, though the fighting hasn't grabbed me
yet, it just doesn't feel as fluid as the rest of the game.
FIFA, well, yes, i have traversed to the dark side finally after a
long, long time, but it really is much better than PES now, kudos to
EA for that. I only played 08 briefly on my cousins PS3 but it still
felt a bit broken, though not as badly as 07 was on 360 (which i got
for the price of 4 bottles of coke when they did that promotion last
year).
Seems like with 09 they have finally got it right, there's actually a
good game under all the gloss for a change. |

Well, EB Game do own a spanish chain now, iirc, so they could be part
of that group?
loyalty cards never worked in other countries, well, people with them
from abroad couldn't use them in the uk stores when i worked there, so
i assume the opposite would be true also.

i found fallout3 needed a lot less attention than, say, Oblivion did.
It's a lot more streamlined than it's Elder Scrolls predecessor, imo. |

nothing gameing wise, the closest I got was buying a wired PS3
controller from Wollies - £2.50!
I did get a Dr Who DVD box set, "Trial of a Timelord", rubbish show
but the extras are fantastic.

Looks like it is Game. I don't know where I got the idea it was called
Movil, but the place is called Centromail, which is the Spanish Game
franchise.
Last year the games out there would have been about the same price as the
UK. But now they are quite a bit more expensive due to the value of the
pound against the Euro. Typical Wii games brand new were 45 euros which in
todays prices is £45 |

I think "fateful" is an acceptable term, just one not used often in that
context.
