I'm not into gaming, and actually the DC is my second console ever (i had
a Atari VCS 2600 back in the golden days). However, it seems to me that
the Tomb Raider franchise got new momentum through the release of
"Legends". Well, maybe it's just the media hype. I'm sure the third Tomb
Raider flic will take that momentum away .

I've heard that all Pal DCs should play CDR, regardless of date of
manufacturing. I didn't test mine yet.

I still don't know if it's hype or not. The hype definitely has me
interested, and I'm imagining it's going to be POP:SOT with boobs (what
could be better?), but I'll withold judgement until I've played it
myself.

It is pretty good - it worked fine here. Good fun if you have the DC
arcade stick, too. I did only play it once, however. IIRC, I think it didn't
have the storyline I was expecting from games like Golden Axe and Final
Fight.

Don't forget Marvel Vs Capcom II, which also deserves a mention in the
'overexcited commentators' thread:
"Marvel!!
(versus....)
Capcom - Two!!
New Age of Heroes!"
It's a great game, very addictive, with masses to unlock.

it isn't quite as fluid as the PoP games, the camera can be a pain in
the arse at times, but its a million times more enjoyable than the
last few TR games.

I love MvC2 because it unlocks stuff automatically just by playing the
thing. It always makes me think there really is some *point* to having
just one more go. The commentator does a good job of ensuring that, too.
When you win, he's all with the over-the-top praise: "That was amazing!
I nearly had a heart attack back there!" and when you do lose he's like
"Don't you wanna rematch? --Don't give up! Don't give up! Don't give
up!...". It's almost impossible not to press [A] at that point.

Lik-Sang sell them. I bought one a few weeks ago. Very quick delivery
(I'm in the UK, Lik-Sang have a European store in Germany I think).
KOS, the DC development environment is very mature (GCC, lots of ported
libs & tools ...). I was able to port a SDL game (Maelstrom) with very
few changes (now to get multi player working properly...).
