| Hello,
I have 2 led's out on my Scared Stiff crate led board. Is this worth
fixing or should I get another board? Thanks
Jim

It is up to you, many people fix them. Make sure you get the right
size LEDs. Most these days are clear but light red. The little
plastic spacers break also.
Is it worth it? Well, at BAA you can get the LEDs for $0.75 each or a
new create board for $38.00

If you can solder, I'd say just replace the LEDs. |

I also replaced all mine and even tried different colors, but switched
back to red. If you're handy with soldering, its very easy. Radio
shack has a 3mm led in stores, but I don't know the brightness so it
might not match. I've also seen them at Fry's if you have one
nearby. I ordered all mine from Mouser electronics and they work
perfectly. |

I just replaced the LEDs on mine. I got the LEDs from PBR using the part #s
from the manual.
I replaced them all, just to make sure they matched - as several of them
were not original.
Not tough.

Hmmm, the different colors sounds cool as long as you do them in
pairs. What did not look right?
I have the Robert Winter kit for the skull pile and it looks great. I
do have a spare crate board somewhere and was thinking of trying Red,
Green, Yellow and Blue sets of eyes.
