You talk about a cross between Far Cry (first person) and
GTA (third person) so it can be either or both.

PS: Why are you continuously dragging your posts to consoles?
If the PC demo is out why did you need to tell us all you are
playing the console version? In the past you did in fact made
useful post about demos released for the PC, now you do the
same but always BRAGGING about playing them in a console...
if you are a console player you have other groups in which you
are better, this is a PC Game group.
I find it "distasteful" you always saying "I'm playing the
console version" in a PC Game group.

I started downloading the demo for PC last night before I had to head
to bed. Spent most of the evening installing a new 500W PSU and 320gb
HDD so now I had room for it Smile. Should have time to play it tonight.

I take it there is a demo on Xbox 360 Live? I'll look there tonight and
snag it.

I will say this tho, I have yet to choose a 360 version over a PC
version if both are available. Part of that was because I only recently
got the 360 (June), but even now afterward I just prefer PC controls
most of the time. Another consideration is that the PC versions are
usually cheaper.

Oblivion - PC
COD2 - PC
Quake 4 - PC

All of the above I haven't tried the 360 version because I bought these
before I got a 360.

Prey - PC - tried both demos, decided the PC version was better esp
with the possibility of mods. PC graphics definitely are nicer than the
360's on this game. Plus the PC version was cheaper (got it for $35).
Battle for Middle Earth 2 - PC - tried the 360 version (rented), hated
the controls, hated the graphics. I ended up ordering the PC version
but I haven't played it yet. PC version was cheaper ($30).
Far Cry - 360 - already have but hate the PC version, but Far Cry
Instincts Predator I decided to rent and it's actually pretty fun,
might buy it.
Condemned: Criminal Origins - 360 - I am still renting it, but I will
probably end up getting the console version of this. Price of the
console version of this and the PC version are pretty close anyway.

360 Games I own:
Perfect Dark Zero - competently done shooter, but nothing extroidinary.
7/10
Kameo - one of the best platform games I've ever played. 9/10
Tomb Raider Legend - copy protection of the PC version's demo wouldn't
run on my PC, so I rented this for 360 and loved it, bought it. 9/10
Burnout Revenge - I love this series, and this is the best yet. racing
and crashing fun. 8.5/10.
Dead or Alive 4 - too friggin hard. nice graphics tho. fun for 2 player
mode. 6.5/10
Project Gotham Racing 3 - I just picked this up and haven't tried it
yet.
Dead Rising - tried the demo, loved it, just ordered this so I haven't
gotten it yet.

Hey, twerp. Read the short description on Blue's News. Andrew gave you
the URL already. And then download the demo ( only 500MBytes ) and
experience the game for yourself. Maybe after playing the demo you
might be able to emit a couple of words of logical sense with regard
to the game, without any reference to "copy-protection", "Steam" or
several other related phrases repeated ad nauseam in the past from
your limited vocabulary.

Yeah, I went with the 360 demo first as I new it was due on there, got
it downloading immediately (gotta love Live sometimes!) when I got
home, then went to look for the PC demo so I could work out what
platform I preferred.

I have had my 360 for a while and still can't hit a barn door in an
FPS with a controller, but for some weird reason, I actually get on
with the controls for JC just fine with the pad. The copious amounts
of auto aim helps a lot, but I find myself enjoying playing it more on
the 360.

I can actually buy the PC version for less than half the price of the
360 version, which if all things were equal, would make the PC a no
brainer, but maybe as my PC is starting to show its age, I have
decided on the 360 version for this game, it just looks amazing on my
HDTV.

Only tried playing it for ten minutes, but reminds me of Total Overdose. I
wonder if it uses the same engine?

I haven't managed to kill the Esteban guy yet, but I'm not sure I'll

Also FileRush.com where I used to go to get all my demos on Bittorrent
doesn't have them either. I was totally shocked when I went there a couple
of weeks ago and all the torrent links are gone. I thought that site was
primarily a torrent site. What the heck! JLC

I have dial-up...
If I decided to download a 500MB demo which btw I never did.
Even with demos I was highly anticipating like Serious Sam 2
Condemned or Prey (which all I got from a friend with flat
rate high-speed broadband connection) I would take:
.. 35 hours to download (+ phone line busy all this time)
.. pay 30 euro cost for the time connected

Now you tell me Lewis if the Just Cause demo is worth 30 euro
and 35 hours of waiting
Btw thats more than 2 times the time and cost I pay each month

I gave up trying demos a long time ago...
If its FPS I always buy (that's why I asked about Just cause)
If its racing/driving I try to get feedback from others gamers
If its other genre I only buy if the game has no copy-protection

PS: Still nobody has reply to either its first or third person
so usefull the majority of posters in this group

Not to defend PC games - who is a complete buffoon, but you're being at
least as stupid as he is.

There are loads of places where you CAN'T GET BROADBAND at all

Finally got a chance to try this. I'd never heard of it before.
This is one of those go anywhere, drive anything, blow up anything type
of games. The gameplay reminds me of GTA, Far Cry, Mercenaries (a PS2
game), and Boiling Point. Your character can take massive amounts of
damage, it's fairly arcadish and action oriented.

The controls definitely seem off somehow, from parachuting to
vehicles, they're accelerated too much. Maybe they're tuned for the
analog stick of a PS2 instead of the on/off keys on a keyboard. And
not being able to redefine the keys sucks, surely that's just the demo.

There is some stuff in this game not seen elsewhere, like being able
to climb onto the hood of your moving car and jump to other cars. Once
I can remap the controls this will probably be a lot easier.

The landscapes are beautiful, a lot like Far Cry but the framerate is
much better. The textures are very good, and the shadows seem to be
the texture-based type that don't kill the framerate. Even when flying
in a helicopter the landscape still looks very good. The full game
better support widescreen, demo doesn't.

I made it through 3 missions but failed on the 4th one, but I've only
tried it once. Seems like some of the missions are going to be pretty
hard and not very open-ended.

I look forward to wandering around in the full game, this game has
excellent potential. If you like the exploring open-ended games like
GTA San Andreas you will have hours of fun with just the demo.
