Post subject: Question
Archived from groups: uk>rec>fishing>game (more info?)

Well two actually Smile

If I go to fish Gorm Loch Mor and Fionn Loch Mor at the top end of Shin
what I would like to know is :-
1) If I come in from the Shin side where would be the best place to park
the car for six days?
2) If I came in from the Inchnadamph side again where would be the best
place to park?
They both look about the same distance of a walk in but which would be the
easiest?
TIA

Line question - Hi All I am new to fishing and was wondering how you decide what type of line to use and what type of trace to use. Any advise would be great Thanks Glenn

question concerning artificial eels from shore - if using an artificial eel, how long would you make the trace if casting from shore/pier using a spinning rod/reel? I was going to attach a 1/2 ounce bullet to the main line. TIA

Fishfinders - 3D or not 3D, that is the question. - I'm replacing my trusty old Lowrance X65 fishfinder and am considering a 3D unit. It seems to make so much sense...and yet it's difficult to hear a good word said for them on any Newsgroup. What's more, the comments all seem very dated and may not relate...

Isle of Harris - Off to Harris next week. Family in tow so only evenings for fishing. Most of the waters I have found are day ticket. Anyone know of any others? A day ticket for a few hours is a bit pricey. Dave

Testing a Salmon Rod - I am looking to buy my first salmon rod. Ideally I'd like to try before I buy, at least a cast somewhere! Less and less places doing it now so any recommendations in the Glasgow area for a good selection of double handed rods and the chance to test..
