Of course it depends on what type of game you enjoy playing.. FPS/RPG
etc

If you think of it as popularity then World Of Warcraft is the clear
winner, over 5 million people online in the world, and over 1 million
in europe.
This game has everything from Role-playing to mass PVP battles

I think Phantasy Star Online is still the best online game I've played.
It had a real sense of community to it, while at the same time being
arcadey and simplistic to play.

I wonder if the EU v2 servers are still up.

It's pretty basic, but it's fun enough. Not a patch on something like
UT2004 though.

I seem to recall all other country's servers being taken down, but the
EU ones were shared with the GC game. I could be entirely wrong.

At some point I'll have to look into setting up the home PSO server.
