I'm surprise nobody in here has mentioned the latest multi-millionaire
on the Russian Space Station.

It's not news until he shoots down twenty enemy ships. Smile

-KKC, who seriously didn't know that Garriott's father was an astronaut.

You're just in the wrong group, pretty much all I see posted to this group

I did but in the correct newsgroup. Talk here is supposed to be strictly
about the series of Ultima games.

Only living apartment and auxiliary machinery modules of it are Russian, the
rest is Western.

As legal representative Moscow Dragon <maxim__s RemoveThis @mtu-net.ru.no.spam> read
article of evidence <gdaetk$2g2e$1@news.mtu.ru> it was clear the jury

Well I guess Richard Garriott, creator of the Ultima series, can
appraise that for himself ... seeing as he is up there now.

Wow! Interesting!

Russian media speak nearly nothing about this, at least they do not
associate the name of the space tourist with Origin and Ultima. Is he really
the son of the American astronaut?

The last space tourist on ISS remembered more or less wide in Russian media
was this Persian girl (actually she is a live proof that Iran is not an Evil
Empire).

Anyway ISS is only ~20-30% Russian, as I mentioned above.

She and her parents left Tehran a couple decades ago when the Shah's reign
was overthrown and moved to Texas (where Richard Garriott is also from).

So you could easily say she left Iran before it became an Evil Empire. Wink

Yes, but Anushe shows us that the Persian nation itself are not orcs,
regardless of their governemental style.

Her name is Anouseh Ansari. Used to own a voice over IP company in
Richardson (near Poly and I). I worked for her, then. Very smart and
kind woman. Tragically, she and husband Hamid sold it to Sonus, who
pretty much killed it.

That seems to happen to so many successful companies. Sucks.

I think this is because it is hard to manage a large company, so it is
usually by far more stupid.

I even expect that the real productivity of 10-person startup if the same as
of 100-person "large team" due to management expenses.

Sorry ... could you give me a clue where the correct group is in that
case. This is the only one still breathing I know that has any ongoing
discussion of Ultima in any form.

rgcu.dragons is for any Ultima or non-Ultima content,
rgcus is for only Ultima series content,
rgcuo is for only Ultima Online content.
