My favorite Gaham Wilson cartoon was about this couple walking down the
street and out of an alley comes this horrible little goblinoid
homunculus, with pustulent green skin and helter-skelter eyes, dressed
as the baby new year ( its sash reading '1984' )...and the woman says to
the man walking beside her: "I can't say as I like the look of this!" (
paraphrased from memory ).

Frankly, the last ten years or so have been a bit like that for me and
mine ( I'm really sorry now that I killed that Pope in a previous life,
but who knew ). So here's hoping the Lady with the Sword and the Scales
is in a more forgiving mood this year - for each and every one of us!
