I think the main benefits of X3 that we will all enjoy, is
a) New engine, allowing new scale of ships, new sector layouts and much
bigger sectors. This is great as long as they provide a way to travel
through those sectors quicker, even SETA X10 was enough for me in X2
b) New economic model. This is probably this biggest one really, its going
to be completely redone with help from the community, i.e. the more well
known and skilled community modders etc have given direct imput into the way
the economic model runs. This might mean sweet f all, but lets just hope
that its better. If we have a working economy, this game could have a LOT of
life in it.
