The Avro Vulcan, the only one flying in the World, has just flown directly
over my house in Shrewsbury, England, at about 2000ft, 1538hrs local time.
Fantastic. Anyone else in the UK seen it flying today?

Not that lucky Mike but I was in the garden 10 mins ago and a high
wing monoplane came across...On the wings it said "US ARMY" and had
the old type star and circle roundels on the wing...Don't quote me but
it looked like an ancient Piper Cub !!

Regards,

Pete

Flying is the perfect vocation for a man who wants to feel like a boy, but
not for one who still is.

The Vulcan was on its way from a double, low level flypast at Broughton (
Brit Aerospace) where it arrived at 15.10 Hrs but shot off again to clear
the skies for the A380.
How about a slow, Gear down full flap low pass turning into a near vertical
climb over the airfield.
Thunder and partial eclipse all in on one day!

The A380 was slightly less aerobatic but still awesome, did a circuit or
two, finishing with a sort of touch & go and then performed a high G climb .
Broughton employees were just hoping the wings would stand up to all that
rough treatment Smile

Just remember, if you crash because of weather, your funeral will be held on
