"Unscheduled Disk Maintainence" on USAK

For some reason I don't understand yet, some disk partitions
spontaneously renumbered themselves yesterday. Needless to say, this
raised what for with the judges and other servers on that machine.
The good news is that my back up worked. Configuration information and
data are intact and up to the minute (or will be when I've finished
restoring incremental backups for the judges). The bad news is that I
still have to reconstruct some directories that hold volatile system
data so it will be another day before the judges are on-line.

This affects USAK, some less busy judges on the same domain and the
USVG Vermont Group judge on worldmasters.net.

The mailing lists associated with those sites will be up in about a
week.
