Unreal Tournament 3 on PS3 probably delayed until '08 due ..

this is just pathetic. one of the first real games hyped for PS3 at
E3 2005. back then it was running at 60fps on a GeForce 7800 GTX.

now they can't even get the *30* frames per second version out in time
for holiday 2007.

looks like Xbox 360 to the rescue.

Rein won't commit to November release date

Epic Games' boss Mark Rein has stated that there is "no guarantee"
Unreal Tournament 3 will make its November release on PC and PS3,
casting doubts as to whether the title will remain a PlayStation 3
console exclusive this year.

At Sony's E3 conference in June, Sony made a big deal of Unreal
Tournament 3 being exclusive to the PlayStation 3 in 2007, with
publisher Midway confirming a November release.

But any delays would see the shooter slip dangerously close to its
release on Xbox 360 in early 2008.

"We do not know exactly when the game will be completed," wrote Rein
on Epic's official forums.

"All we've said is that we're hoping for a November release, but as
you know we value getting it right over getting it right now, so
there's no guarantee of that," he said.

I still cannot for the life of me see how people can play a FPS without a
mouse or trackball. Joysticks and pads kick ass on side scrollers and 2D but
IDK about XYZ stuff...
