First level is the demo level plus more.
Second level is in Peru and part of it involves a motorbike chase.
Surprisingly the motorbike riding is pretty smooth - surprisingly, because
in my experience, driving sections in action games are usually cack.
There are some context sensitive action moments in the game - when Lara is
in great danger you have to press certain buttons on the controller for her
to do certain moves (like Shenmue or Fahrenheit). These are not long
sequences - 2-3 button presses so far, there are also not alot of them, so
don't worry too much if you don't like that sort of thing, they seem rare -
3 levels in and I have had to do a sequence only twice.
The environments look fantastic, but I have to say the first level (which is
the demo) does not show it off the best. Its only when you reach Peru on the
next level do you see more of the next gen. |

| That's because there isn`t a pc in existence at this time that can
reasonably play this game in 'next-get' mode.

But it looks the same as the current gen PC version
So really it's 'last gen'

In what way? I wasn't aware of anyone on PC newsgroups running around
going 'IT'S TEH NEXT0R GEN!!1!one!', and yet here we have a 360 game
which looks exactly the same as the PC version. I'm just a little
confused as to what 'next gen' is supposed to look like.

Unsurprising - noone has the faintest idea what 'next-get' actually is.

Consoles have generations as they are more or less unmodifiable and come
along every few years... you can tweak your PC whenever you like more or
less... it's not a hard concept is it?

So, a 386SX25 with a Cirrus Logic 5424 is the same generation as a twin
Xeon with whatever Nvidia claim is top of the range, then?
Hrm.

Well, I'm assuming the people who created the next-gen mode for the PC
version have an idea of what they think it is... And as far as I'm
aware, it's pretty much the 360 version.
Though I suspect the fact that PCs can't run it is down to dodgy PC
code, rather than 360 awesomeness.

I think you're mistaking me for someone else. The only PC I have is a
laptop with an ancient X300 card in it. And I only play Warcraft. I
generally use macs. So please, direct the vitriol elsewhere.

I'm saying that the Next Gen concept of consoles has fcuk all to do with PC
generations.
It's also not an important concept at all even regarding Consoles and you
just need to stfu about it and get over it. |

That's nice to know. However, you're not entitled to request that I
'stfu' about *anything* *at least* until your balls have dropped.
Once that's happened, by all means come back and resubmit your request,
at which point it will be ignored for reasons I'll think up nearer the
time.
Run along, now.
