Anyone have comments on Tarr Chronicles. Worth purchasing?

I'm itching to get back into space-sims but nothing recently released seems
worth picking up.

Nice freespace type of game , don't expect more than shoot-evade-shoot
though.
Pretty good in terms of ship customization , tons of different
weapons,hulls,modules.
Simple but fun to play.

FWIW, It looked interesting but then the demo crashed on my as soon as I got
past the intro, the setup and briefing screens. So I uninstalled it.

Talk about messing up first impressions!
