I'm after a 19-23" LCD with a built-in DVD player to wall-mount at the
end of my bed, there's not enough space for any kind of stand. Anyone
know of a half-decent one that will do a reasonable job of scaling?

Sorry, no, but then I would never buy a combined unit because if one
thing fails you lose both.

Hardly matters in this case - the second component is essentially free
so if the DVD fails you get an external replacement for £15, if the
telly fails you bin it.

When you're mounting it 5ft off the ground with nothing underneath it
an externel replacement isn't really a practical option.

In which case I would be inclined to do some research and try and limit
that by either buying the best made and reliable piece you can afford.
Alternatively, precisely how much faff would it be to neatly install
>15' of cable to a separate machine that either plays discs or streams
- a new 360 with a lengthy HDMI cable (no appreciable signal loss over
that distance - well, none at all seeing as it's a digital signal) and a
media remote would also allow you to hit that gaming target you want.
Slightly pricier in the short term but you'll love me for suggesting it
after it's paid for Wink

Ordinarily I would, but the install to HD feature doesn't work with
DVDs, and I don't think a late-at-night-in-bed-watching-a-dvd-quietly
situation will be helped by having all that noise going on Smile

My new 360 is very quiet. The Jaspers which should be routinely
available now or very soon are supposed to be about as noisy as a PS3.

I looked on the web to check and my new 360 (bought mid-December I
think) is not a Jasper. It's definitely loud! When I first got it I
left the room to get a drink at one point. When I walked back in I
thought it had started torrential rain outside and went to look at the
window!
