Reduced screen shot posted in a.b.l.c.

I realize a small bit of corruption can simply happen now and then. But
this? It's pervasive, it is everywhere up close. But not in the distance.
Any ideas? The GPU was at 180F/82C. That's warmed up and loaded, but not
too hot. CPU was running cool. About 120F/48C. Shader error? Triple
Buffer might help?

Try turning off antialiasing on your video card driver to see if this helps.
You could also mess with the texture filter settings.

Triple bufffer should be tied to having V-Sync on. The idea is to update the
screen memory in advance so screen changes can occur quickly during the short
time between frames, while the non-displayed memory is updated during a
frame display scan. With V-Sync off, there's not much point in using triple
buffer.

Just curious, how do you see the temps during game play, record them or do you
have a second monitor?

I'm guessing you have an nVidia video card? ATI video cards also have problems
with some games, but the list of ATI bugs is typically smaller than the list of
nVidea bugs (which is why I use ATI video cards now).

settings might help,

LOL! Everyones mileage varies Jeff. I still use whatever hardware looks
like it will do what I want at a price I want. Both camps have a rather
large and distinguished list of undocumented bugs. Hardware problems are
possible with either, rest assured.

I run two monitors. Samsung 245T widescreen as the main and Samsung 930B
on my left as the 'catchall'. I have Everest Ultimate 460 running with
customised OSD on the left. That way I can keep an eye on all the temps and
fan speeds while running the games.
Once I actually used dual monitors, I felt lost without a second one. At
first I felt it was proper to have identical monitors. But don't see it
that way now. For one thing, there just isn't room for two 24" widescreen
monitors on my desk! This arrangement works perfectly for me.
TRU controls AA and other filtering. My global parameters have these items
set to Application Controlled. VSync is off. So triple buffering will be
too.

Ok, triple buffering is off, vsync off, AA is 8xQ whatever that means, and
Trilinear. Every time I make a change in settings, the game crashes next
start. This time, it crashed 6 times before it "took" and I just left an
hour of play. No texture weirdness this time.
