| Thought I'd post this as a seperate message, in addition to a response to
the first impressions thread.
"To make the camera move to directly behind Lara, click the Walk button."

Doesn't work in TRU...she walks if you press and hold the Walk button, but
the camera does not move.

Works on my TRU...PC version with Gamepad, on "button 9", which was also
mapped to the ALT key. But you are quite right. The ALT key doesn't do it,
and I've also just discovered that if I delete "button 9" from WALK, it
actually still works, so it must be something default and unconfigurable on
the gamepad controls.

I suspect the same. Grapple, if done with the keyboard key, will reorient
the camera, but Grapple if assigned to a gamepad key does not. Something
else is going on behind the scenes that we don't have control of. |

You can do it with regedit. There is a general discussion at
http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=137436
A more technical discussion with more keycodes at
http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=82932
Hope these are helpful.

Nice! So they really did include a center camera command, but decided not to
make it available to us? I guess us players are too stupid to know what we
really want... |

Yeah. Can you say rushed for the holidays?
RANT ON
Where do I start? I can't get the bind keys to work in the program.
The arrow keys work for the motorcycle in Legend but not Underworld.
Well, left and right work, but if you can't get it going?
WASD and me don't get along very well. Too many bound keys next door!
People are looking for some way to set advanced toggle and the other
combat options like in Anniversary. Not in the menus. But probably not
needed since there are not any real boss fights!
So you collect all the treasures and relics. What for? Concept art and
other drivel? Where are the cheats, outfits, other neat stuff?
So I want to replay it for what? Treasure hunt mode?
Clever people have yet to develope a fly tool or get the folder
structure to work (start with whatever outfit you want).
Well, they may have a building of seemingly clever people, but the
rest of the world is here to try and clean up their mess!
RANT OFF
Whoa. Calm down. I need a brewski. Aloha.

Heh - Rushed for the holidays is my guess also. I finally got it to work,
and I had to edit the registry to get it working. |

You bet. It's a shame it has to come to this. 8 gigs. Good lord!
At least pour some of it into decent gameplay instead of
ever more impressive graphics! |

I bought and installed mine through Steam today. There are no config files
for this game anywhere. Making the changes in the registry is easy enough,
but really shouldn't be necessary. Tells me they have a totally console
mentality.
