Hello,

I want to get starting with Sisters of Battle, in combination(s) with Space
marines, Deamonhunters, or Imp.guard. I still haven's made up my mind, but i
hope i will after all the answers i got in this newsgroup Smile

Questions:

If i have a Witchhunters army with SoB, aren't there any men allowed like SM
? or Grey knights (are Grey knight a breed of SM ?)
I understand that there are SoB allowed in a SM or Deamonhunters army.

Is there a difference between SM and allied SM ? The Codex confuses me (page
25) It states that there are no inducted IG or allied SM allowed in a mixed
army....

final question (for now Smile :

Canoness: She may have a retinue of Celesians, of which one may be a Banner
bearer.
Is this the same as a Imagifer ? If not, can i have both in the retinue ?
I would like to make a squad with a Canoness, Veteran Sister Superior,
Imagifer, Banner bearer, and 2 Celestians with special weapons like a
meltagun or flamer. Rest of the Celestians with bolters. Is this allowed ?
(btw... how do i make a Sister Superior an veteran ? how do i show this on
the model?)

Thanks in advance!

Page 25, 2nd column, third paragraph. 2nd question - not as far as that rule
is concerned.

If the parent army is a WH army (or SoB) army, then you would be taking
allied SM or Inducted Imperial Guard (but not both at the same time (pg. 25,
1st column, 7th paragraph). If the parent army is SM then the rules in the
shaded box on page 25 are used.

No. Yes.

Yes.

One of the obvious ways is by the choice of weapons - a SS is limited to
only being armed with a bolt pistol & CCW or a bolter. A VSS can use wargear
and thus many different types of weapons.

You can take Grey Knights. You cannot take Allied Space Marines, which are
defined as vanilla marines taken from Codex: Space Marines.

Yes there is. Allied SM are those taken in the WH/DH list. What that rule
means is that if you have a SM army, and take WH allies, you cannot take any
Allied SM using the WH rules, or Inducted IG. Same for any other parent
army. You can only take Inducted IG or Allied SM if the WH list is the
parent army list.
