Except that this Has already happened with other games requiring
online registration and using drm;

"This game is not authorized to be played in your geographical area.
it is only authorized to be played in the UK and your ISP adress is in
Australia. Regstration not allowed and not authorized."

I forgot to mention that it's actually even worse than that.

What has also happened is that peole who did legally buy such games in
their own country and legally registered it from their own country
were unable to play their games on the very same computer while they
were in another country because the online drm recognized their isp
adress they were calling from was not in the authorized country.

That is, some people registered online in their home country, then
their employer required them to move to another country in order for
them to keep their job and keep making money to support their family,
and they were the unable to play the game they legally bought on the
very same computer that the game was legally registerd on and to,
because the online drm recognized that the isp from the new country
wasn't from the old countty that the games were registered in or
authorized to be used in.

I will NEVER buy anymore PC videogames ever again because of draconian
drm like that.

It was the same game, the same computer, everything legally bought,
just the isp was different since it was a different country they had
to move to due to their employers requiring them to.

And now they were and are unable to play what they legally bought,
legally installed and legally registered on the very same computer it
was legally registered to.

dracinian drm: "Even though you legally bought this game and legally
registered your game on the computer you are using, you are only
alowed to play only when you're physically present where we say you
can play the game. If you are physically present anywhere else, then
you are not allowed to play the game on the same computer it is
legally registered to, just because we say so."
