| Flying FSX B 747 all set accordingly ATC suddenly the altitude and or speed
is set on the panel at zero.
It happens during messages from ATC and I think that working with the mouse
on the 1e screen changes the settings on the panel at 2nd screen. Do anybody
has the same experiens?

Afraid I haven't seen this. Is it only the 747 or does it happen with
other aircraft?

Speed is normal, if there are icy conditions, pitot heat will prevent this.
If you are descending from hi altitude in to a moisture area (clouds) then
this is normal.
Pitot tubes on aircraft commonly have heating elements to prevent the tube
from becoming clogged with ice. The failure of these systems has
catastrophic consequences, like in the case of Austral Líneas Aéreas Flight
2553.

At happend after take-off. Increasing altitude from 24000 to 34000 with vs
1600 and a speed of 325 kts on auto pilot. The speed changed to zero and the
altitude back to 24000 with a vs of -1400. So far only one B747 has has
this sickness. I will try others in the next few days.

I did the following to have ice in the pitot tube. (and no speed reading)
Set your weather manual, via customize weather and advanced weather.
Set clouds overcast top 12000 base 5000
Set ice severe
Set the temperatures
3000ft 25 deg c and dewpoint 17 deg c
6000ft 15 deg c and dewpoint 10 deg c
10000ft 13 deg c and dewpoint 15 deg c
12000ft -50 deg c and dewpoint -5 deg c
Set temp above 12000ft below -50 deg c (-55 etc.)
And make a flight to above 20000 feet
Success
