Daytona comparison screenshots are posted, and I've provided a static
link to the comparison movie. I have included comparison screenshots
with the Model 2 shots both bilinear filtered (high level emulation) and
not (original). I was going to upload the M2 Emulator movies but for
some reason Divx won't encode them.

We do, Scott!
And in case you lose faith again: according to Dr. Jakob Nielsen, only
about 10% of forum users actually post; the other 90% are lurkers.
Even if the click-through rate is lower for lurkers, I imagine that
the majority of r.v.g.sega readers who have followed your links to
Game Pilgrimage have never posted in this newsgroup, let alone replied
to your posts.
The bottom line? You should put a counter on your site; that way, you
could gauge interest in it through changes in the total number of
visitors instead of through the responses (or lack thereof) to your
site update threads.
Whip Ass Gaming has such a counter. Bel, have you found that the
total number of visitors spikes when you create a site update thread
in this group?

Not a whole lot. The hits for WAG are pretty steady, and usually only
spike whenever a larger site links to something they've found there(it's
usually either the House of Renders, the Eternal Champions:CftDS
Finisher Demo or the Sega Logo Fun! Project).
Some basic info on the site's numbers can be found here(if interested):

Thanks for the feedback. I have a stats program that Godaddy provides,
but it doesn't tell me whether people liked or even understood what they
looked at. I've also installed a script for google analytics, that
might give me some better info on what type of pages people check out,
whether they come back, etc.

I'm a frequent "lurker" at your site and I also "lurk" at Bel's site
despite being a member there. Keep up the good work on the video
comparisons as quite a few people do look at them and they just don't
feel like replying. Maybe you could get Bel to provide a link to your
site and you could do the same for him. Anything to keep the Sega love
flowing. |
