stoned? moi? Hi Bill...
> Happy Christmas Dave and best wishes to your family.
ta very much...
My own personal highlight of the year was catching my first salmon on
the fly, having decided to forsake all other methods. The locals think
I'm either nuts or brave, but it paid off with just a week to go. Funny
thing is, that a week earlier I thought I'd done it, but the fish turned
out to be the biggest wild brown trout I'd ever seen in this river,
around 4lb+ - and as black as soot. Didn't know whether to laugh or
cry, as I'd have been delighted to catch this on trout gear. Funny
thing, fishing.
Anyone else - what was the high spot for your 2008 season?
cheez

Well done Dave.
My high spot was retiring as Secretary of Tawe Disabled Fishers
Association. I didn't much fishing at all, just a bit at a local put
and take fishery where stockies came out at about 2.5+ lbs each -
nice fish though.

Rather OT here but:
Xara Xtreme does have a bit of a learning curve, the results can be stunning
though.
As for Linux, I've taken to installing a live Puppy distro for preference in
machines I set up for granny to keep in touch when the little bas^h^h^h
*darlings* take off for their gap years...

Hmmm..... I suppose mine was managing to fish the local river during Mayfly
period this year and actualy catching some trout on duns! First time in
three years as the previous two had been complete washouts due to heavy
rain.
