I've always been interested by the science of siblings. Are oldest
children the most successful? Do middle children do the worst? How are
the two siblings in this house ever going to survive their childhoods
together (the little one literally knocked out the older one's tooth
this week)?

[No quibbling like siblings: if you're not sure, please check out the
quilt guidelines at http://triviawhys.com/QuizQuiltRules.html]

CATEGORY QUESTIONS:

[ Literature & Arts ]
What African-American author read her poem "On the Pulse of the

CRAIG, Jenny (the only plausible answer I can think of)

Of the states which were among the original 13 colonies, only two are
both undoubtedly southern and also have one-word names. I'm going to
say GEORGIA because it appears to have a better chance of fitting into
the quilt.

The fourth column reading upward in my version spells RIBENE, which at
least sounds like a scientific word. But I won't be surprised at all
if that answer is incorrect.

Incorrect (here's where I usually expect to learn something, but alas,
not in this case).

Correct (I'm also a second oldest [or older to be more accurate] with an
older sister. She went off to college just in time to greatly increase
her life expectancy Wink.

Correct (it deserved a lot more press in this country than it got).

It looks like the quilt is NATURE, second letter down. Although I always
thought she was more of a mother than sister. But my record of guessing
the quilt based on incomplete set of answers is not good, especially
lately, so I could be completely wrong here.

Only one country has sent manned spacecraft towards the moon. I'm sure
China has plans to do it and the Soviet Union once did as well, but
neither has done it. Unless you believe various conspiracy theories...
