I've just completed Rhem 3 and thoroughly enjoyed it so I thought I'd work
backwards and try Rhem 2.

The game instals ok and I've avoided the Macromedia Flash problem by
reducing the hardware acceleration to nil. The train sets off and stops at a
gate. I insert the swipe card into the reader (which reads it) but then
nothing happens and the game freezes. I can press 'escape' to get back to
the menu but that's all.

I appreciate that this adventure came out 3 years ago now but does anyone
remember having a similar problem to the one I have described. It's very
disappointing as I was really looking forward to working through another set
of intriging puzzles.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Mike

Out of curiousity, what Operating System? I've got this around here
somewhere, maybe I'll throw it on my Vista box and see what happens.

Piles and piles of cdroms. Found the 'manual' and *second* disk but no
sign of the first one. [sigh] You'd think it would be easy due to the
unique (as in one I've never seen before or since) case it came in. If
it turns up...

Hi Craig

I'm running Windows XP Pro.

I could try running the game under a different O/S. You never know, it might
just work.

Incidently, I uninstalled the current version of Quick Time and installed
the one which came with the game but the same problem occurred. A strange
problem this as Rhem 3 worked fine and Rhem 2 seems ok until the first input
is required.

If you find your disc and have any success with the game I'd be pleased to
hear from you.

Cheers

Mike
