Salt Lake City Qualifier Tournament Report

Twelve methuselahs vied for invitations to the North American
Championship, and only eight of them were from Utah. Adam Gillings of
Idaho drove in for the carnage. Fred Scott and Robert Woodruff came up
from Arizona and seemed delighted by the available competition. Alex
Harmon flew in from Los Angeles on a mission and blew away the local
players in the preliminary rounds.

Competition was fierce but players were in good spirits most of the
day, and as far as I can tell, everyone had a good time.

==Brief Final Round Description
Final seating order was:

Bryan (FoS) -> Fred (Ahrimanes) -> Edward (Malk Jack) -> Alex (Imbued)
-> Amber (!Malk KS) -> Bryan.

Edward was stunned by Alex's defense, namely Champion, and did not draw
Smiling Jack early enough to stop Alex from tooling up. Fred was also
put on defense by Bryan's relentless stealth-bleeding. The other three
methuselahs were free to move about the cabin but Bryan turned out the
strongest offense and got his 2 VP before crashing into Alex's
Defenders. Amber was able to get Bryan with her plentiful Eyes of
Chaos and finally, Alex swarmed in for the tie, and subsequent
tournament win thanks to his enormous TP going into the final round.

So Fred, if you don't qualify in LA this weekend, are you going to come to
