Sega Star Trek Strategic Operations Simulator

NOS Art for the Rear of the Vertical cabinet

This graphic is 100% factory original artwork. NOT A REPRINT!

Still has the deep original colors. Beautiful!

Sega Part number: SP 420-1019 REV A 6/27/93

This graphic is really HUGE!! 34.5 Inches by 50.25 inches!!

Important NOTE! I have only TWO pieces of this graphic art. The item
pictured in this auction is the lesser of the of the two. I am not
reserving any for a later sale either. If you are thinking about buying do
not hold off!

If you want to see the better one look here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6217983668

I have never seen an auction for this item on eBay and I doubt you will ever
see an auction for this item ever again!

The graphic will be THE showpiece on a wall if it is framed for hanging
display!

The artwork itself is fantastic with pictured NCC-1701 battling in all her
glory with Klingon opponents. Base stations pictured as well. Would make a
great addition to any Star Trek movie (ST:TMP) collection or game room
display too!

Due to the large size the graphic will be THE showpiece on a wall if it is
framed for hanging display!
This IS NOT the captain chair graphic. This is the extremely rare graphic
attached to the rear of the vertical cabinet.

More information on the 1982 Star Trek S.T.O.S. videogame itself with
pictures is available here:
http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=S&game_id=9770

This graphic art is new old stock (NOS) and has never been applied before!

This art will give back the original new look to your machine or your game
room display. If you are looking to restore your cabinet back to its
original arcade glory look no further!

The back of the art is adhesive so it will stick on the machine. The
adhesive looks to be in good shape! However on any adhesive graphic this
old and this large it is best to test a small area first.

This graphic art is in good shape having been rolled up and stored for
several years. However because the art has been rolled up for a while I had
to take the picture you see in the condition out of the tube after allowing
the art to relax a few minutes. No tape has been applied to hold the
artwork flat so the picture shows a bit of glare. If you would like more
pictures please email me.

This item does have a few small edge rips on the lower sides. But no folds.
This item is still quite beautiful and is probably better than any graphic
you have on your game currently. The defects are small so they are not
important but I had to mention them. Application of the graphic, or
professional display framing will obscure the problems
See pictures below before bidding

Because of the sheer size of this item it will be shipped rolled into a
tube.

I think what you have there Chris, are the two pieces of side art for a
conversion kit of the game - hence the full size rectangular shape.
They are meant to be applied and trimmed as per the shape of the
cabinet being used. Check out KLOV and you'll see what I mean - The
first cabinet being an Asteroids with the side art going right out to
the T-moulding where at that point it would be "trimmed" - and then the
dedicated cabinet below it has the precut art that stops about an inch
and a half or so before the moulding and all the way around.

I have a dedicated Star Trek stand up and it never had any art
applied to the back panel(s). Having such would have covered up the
Sega Serial number and FCC stickers, not to mention the air vents!
Almost all situations of these games being installed would have had the
back side of the cabinet against the wall (only the operator would have
seen it...)so it doesn't make much sense.

But they are still really nice no matter what the application.

I agree.

That is the same artwork that is on the side of my dedicated Star Trek,
except that the big blue planet to the left of the Enterprise is
trimmed out, and on mine there is written the word "SEGA" in red
letters below the "Star" in "Star Trek"(with no fine print beneath
"Strategic Operations Simulator".
