Apparently, an update on the Pokemon Festa 2008 website included a picture
of a cup sporting a picture of several Pokemon, including some mysterious
unknown Pokemon. The picture has since been removed, but it's already up on
other websites and blogs, such as Serebii.net. The mystery 'mon is
speculated to be either a new Pokemon or an alternate "Sky Form" of the
Legendary Shaymin. I'm wondering if it might not just be a miscolored
Pokemon. It does look kinda like an Eeveelution.

Picture of the cup (the mystery 'mon is on the left, next to Pikachu):

Yeah, to me it looks like a badly-drawn version of Leafeon.

Well, first things first, I saved my game just before facing it, so if I
knocked it out (or vice versa) I could just go back to my last save point
and fight it again. Also, half my team was knocked out by then, so I had to
use a few Revives as well as berries to bring their HP back up. Then I
tried to wear Dialga down so its HP was as low as possible, then I just
started chucking PokeBalls at it. I usually rotate what kind of PokeBall I
use so I don't use them all up at once. If possible, you should trying
inflicting a status condition on it that puts an icon the screen, like
Sleep, Freeze, Poison, Burn, or Paralyze.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Or use a MasterBall. If
you've already knocked it out and made the mistake of saving afterwards,
you're going to have to trade for it or start a new game.

To add to this, heal up when you get there and save (so if you need to
restart you are already healed and don't forget) and if it is not yet
night time (after 8 pm?) turn it off until then. That way you can use
Ultra balls, Dusk balls, and Timer balls and you can try some of the
others for variation. The Dusk balls are really effective (4 times
the catch rate of a Pokeball) and Timer balls go up in catch rate
every 10 turns.
