The "Cross the antlion beach without touching the floor" is apparently
the toughest one!

The only really tricky part in the Ravenholm gg one is when you climb up
to the rooftops again toward the end of the level to meet the preacher
and you get swarmed by the xenomorph style zombies, but they don't
actually do much damage if they get through to you.

It was epic, yes, but didn't bring the whole story arc of Mia/Misty/Maya to a
close.

I'm slightly saddened to hear that Phoenix has given up law in AJ Sad

A mate wasted a long time trying to get that one done and still hasn't
managed it. Having played HL2 before, I'm probably going to skip that
one as I can already imagine how annoying it is.

I'm hoping a panicked n00b run will get me through that bit Wink

Maybe that's due to the control scheme? I'm better than I was when I
started, but I still have trouble with it - especially with rolling or
targetting with the boomerang.

a friend of mine has done it - he does have insane gaming skillz though,
and even he said it was hard.

Having got past that bit, it doesn't feel anywhere near as tense as the
original play through, so I would concur with that thought.

As usual, I haven't even looked at the achievement list so they either
happen because they happen or I miss them.

No computer gaming for me.

I will mostly be playing -

Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness (PSP) - So far I've just done the tutorial
and remembered that I never did quite understand the geo thingys. Never
could work out chains. Anyway, I've just created a female cleric called Tara
to add to my team of Laharl, Etna and my prinnies Geese, Oce and Ribbons and
it's off to the main game. Anyway, I think my life is over now this has
arrived. Does look lovely on the PSP screen, but the stats are hard to read.

I will also play -

Halo 3 (360) - Try to find DBSnappa online at some point so we can try to
kill each other.

I won't be playing -

Uncharted Demo (PS3) - Three percent of my monthly download limit spent
downloading a demo that's not region free. I know I'm technically not meant
to download stuff from the US store, but region free gaming has been the
best thing about the PS3. I hope this is a bug and not the start of region
locking for PS3 games.

No. Just ACENESS.

It's not the timing per se for me, it's having to sail back and forth to the
same central place. I can't believe none of the reviews saw this as a fatal
flaw. When I was reading this mechanic, I assumed there were warps between
the temples.

There are warp points in the sea.

As usual, I have no firm plans, but I will try to do some of the following.

Half Life 2 Ep 2 (360) Suspect I may finish this - I'm at that bit at
White Forest that feels for all the world like a rip of the Battle of
Hoth from TESB. Saved it last night a little way into it. Episode 2 is
much much better than EP 1.

I will endeavour to be online sometime this weekend to pick up that
guantlet thrown down by proxy by Witty for The Rev and me to clash
Battle Rifles - it'll be anybodies guess as to who wins as I think we're
probably both not very good at H3 mp. OK, I know I'll probably be online
between 4-6pm on Saturday, so if I spot you, Rev, duck!

GW:RE (360) Really not sure if I have the skill to ever beat my
highscore - I've come tantalisingly close on more than a few occasions,
but I reckon I don't have the playing skills to beat it convincingly - I
have a theory as to what is required, but it's all so manic at that
level that for me, it will be more luck than skill if I ever do.

If I finish Half Life, I may get back to FEAR (360) and finish that.
I've decided that I'm going to play and finish a few games I have before
buying anything else, so I can save SMG, AC and COD4 for Christmas hols

Umm.. what difficulty were you playing on, and did you try to rush the

Thankfully the wrong episode, but I don't really plan on doing that
one anyhow...unless there's some kind of uber games drought next year
and I have 6 hours to waste on folly.

I spent 6 hours running over zombies in Dead Rising during this years
drought, so it's not completely out of the question Wink
