What a coincidence, I seem to have a similar one here. Plus a vague
whim to own a 360. How did you connect the 360 to it - component or
proper vga/dvi?

Not sure I want to do that dungeon thing at the beginning again either!

I might pay more attention to the actual story this time. I was too busy
doing side quests and got fed up of the speak to A who tells you to
speak to B who tells you to find X and take it to C who tells you to go
back to A with Y and Z.

More Earth Defence Force for me, unless Super Paper Mario shows up.

Getting towards the end of hard on EDF now, though I'm generally finding it
easier than normal thanks to getting a load of weapons from inferno mode.

I mailed D3 to ask when Global Defence Force (the UK version of Chikyuu
Boueigun 2) was coming out, because no two retailers seemed to agree, and
they said it would be September, if they released it. However Gameseek now
claim to have it in stock, so who knows?

Exclusive weapons to that mode, or stronger variants of weapons from
easier modes? If merely stronger versions, can you them in the easier
mode, or does the power of the weapon change accordingly, if you see what
I mean.

My HMV order (who still insist it came out last October) still says on
special order, and Amazon who claimed it was out today has "Limited
stock" on the general search page and "We are currently unable to offer
this item. It may be out of stock at the manufacturer. If you would like
to purchase this item, we recommend that you occasionally check this page
to see if it has become available" on the actual item description page.
Basically, the situation is as clear as mud.

My mistake I keep forgetting you're ignorant and ill informed.

Allow me to enlighten you:

Sanctimonious : holier-than-thou: excessively or hypocritically pious; "a
sickening sanctimonious smile"

You can use any weapon in any mode. They don't change power or anything.

So, basically, if you can manage to do a stage on a harder difficulty
level, you'll get a load of really powerful guns that you can then use
to get through the lower difficulties more easily.

My main tactic has been to use level 40 (Return) as there are loads of
enemies, so lots of pickups, but also a lot of friendly units too, who
can almost do the level by themselves. I can finish this level on
Inferno now, so I'm getting most of the best weapons in the game. On my
last run through, I got a homing missle that does 15,000 damage.

I did notice, though, that Amazon have a load of other D3 games in stock
now, which I'm sure were also down as coming out today when I checked
last week. So maybe it has actually come out, but they've just sold out
of them.

Though it'd be odd, in that case, for D3 to tell me it wasn't yet
scheduled for release.

Is that also the level I've heard about where you can hop on a rock or
something and remain out of reach of all the bugs on the level, making them
very easy to pick off?

Ah, don't quote him - it just gives him the attention he wants and
circumvents my killfile Smile

Still, it's nice to see that bottom feeders like Zedders/Northern
Deity/Whoever he's pretending to be this week still have nothing else to
do but pop up whenever there's anything contentious going on. I blame
the welfare state, myself.
