Actually I don't, as there probably won't be any games for me this
weekend. I might be completely wrong though (and indeed, I did play a
little bit this morning, but this isn't planned anymore, so...) but if
everything goes well I'll be sitting in front of a barbeque this
evening. And I won't leave it until Sunday evening. Hooray! I might be
completely wrong though, but I don't hope for it.

I won't be playing many games this weekend as I'll be spending the whole
weekend in bed, feeling sorry for myself as I have a complete bitch of a cold
which has flattened me for the last two days and shows no signs of abating as
yet.

Well, my 360 is with Microsoft, so no EDF or Oblivion or anything else for me.

Neither baseball game I ordered from VGP has arrived yet, so unless I dig
out my original copy of MLB on the PSP there won't be any baseball for me.
Though I am hoping to watch a game or two. Hooray for NASN!

Maybe some Guitar Hero on the PS2. (My hand's just about recovered from the
other night now.)

I'll turn the PS3 on, so I might well play some Formula One and/or
Motorstorm. Blast Factor, too.

And I've been meaning to get back to Sonic on the Wii, but I doubt that will
happen.

I'm still waiting for the postman to arrive to see if he has Super Paper
Mario (Wii) for me.

If he does, I'll be playing that for the weekend. If not, I'll probably be
playing Rocket Slime (DS) for a bit.

I'm expecting a fairly game-packed weekend...

Brian Lara International Cricket (360)
I suspect the GSW in me is going to come out again. I've been putting tons
of hours into this, and now it's nearing the end of its lifespan, I might
chase down some of the remaining achievements. Winning a test with each
country is just a chore, to be honest, but I'll do it, just as I'll play
matches at each stadium until I've found out which one I missed out. The
only challenging achievement left is 6 sixes in an over, and I'm sure
that'll come eventually. I managed 5 sixes and a four once, so I'm not too
far off.

Guitar Hero 2 (360)
Should finish off the medium tour. It's not that I'm failing any of the
songs, but I'm just not happy with my scores/performances, so keep trying
them again. Also, I want to delay the painful transition to Hard for as long
as possible.

Eart Defence Force 2017 (360)
I enjoy this when I play it, but don't ever seem motivated to actually start
playing it. I'm sure I'll have a bash at some point, and then end up playing
it for hours on end.

Splinter Cell: Double Agent (360)
I think this is my favourite SC game so far (in that I've not just given up
on it after the first mission). I like the fact that you can ignore the govt
instructions and have a bit more freedom than the previous games. Might do
another mission or two.

Jetpac Refuelled.
Haven't played this for about a fortnight now, and can feel my haptic skills
((c) DBSnappa) drifting away as we speak. Might try to play online.

CASTLEVANIA (Wii)
Again. Hopefully, my remote won't cock up on it, as it would be VERY ANNOYING
if it did. Again. GRR.

Legend of teh Meestickle Ningar (Wii)
Downloaded it last Friday but haven't played it yet.

Contact (DS)
Every week I mention this. Every week I fail to play it. Every week I kick
myself.

SUPER AXE ROCK GOD FIGHTER II TURBO (360)
I'm working my way through Easy. I've done Medium, and Hard makes me cry. I
managed the 500-note streak last night, and would have gone further if the
"Achievement Unlocked!" hadn't have instantly put me off. GRR. Oh, and why
didn't I like Cheap Trick before, eh? EH? ACES. Incidently, I seem to be in
the top three on my friend's list for every track so far, and for career
overall. Zo or Ski sometimes beat me for 1st and/or 2nd, but I'm staggered
that you lot are worse than me. And I'm *awful*. AND! I did a lefty flip
song last night.

I was planning to finish Circle of the Moon and play a bit more Final
Fantasy III this weekend.

Unfortunately, it's not likely to work out that way. At 9:30 this
morning, Puzzle Quest happened to me (on the DS) and - well - I'm still
playing it.

I just beat Dugog in Puzzle Quest Smile I suspect I'll try and put some time in
on that, FF3, Magical Starsign and maybe Phoenix Wright 2.

Shame. I just got Guitar Hero 2 and I just can't face rocking out right now,
which is depressing.

Cheap Trick rock.

Two questions:

The 500 note streak - does it have to be in a single song, or could you,
say, get perfect in two consecutive easy songs and get it?

Lefty flip - is *everything* reversed when you do this (ie do the blue notes
appear on the left on the screen and green on the right)? Also, for a
fat-fingered moron like me, is it likely to be even vaguely possible?

I did it across three songs. I don't think there are any songs (on Medium at
least) that have 500 notes. Certainly none have 1000 (which is another
achievement).

Yes, everything is reversed. Even up and down on the strum bar. If you're
after the achievement, just do it on easy on a slow song - you don't need a
perfect, or even 5 stars, you just need to "win". Even if you miss half the
notes on Easy you can still win. In fact, you can probably win by just
holding down green and only strumming those, ignoring the rest.

Um, am I being stupid (having not read the manual), but is there any
significance to the up-or-down-ness of the strum bar, or are you just
talking about menu navigation?

Doing something just for the achievement? Me?
No, really, I am just curious about it. I'll probably give it try tonight.

Indeed. I counted 8757836236 before my fingers burst into flame.

I didn't realise there was an achievement for it until I'd got it. I only did
the flip for a laugh Smile

Don't forget to watch all 30 minutes of the credits for another 10 points.

Or, you could watch lost whilst waiting like I did.

I really don't get this whole achievment points thing. I mean, you get
NOTHING for doing it right? Not even the respect of your peers (who are
quick to leap on you shouting pointswhore if you have more points than
them).

So, erm, why in god's name would anyone spend thirty minutes of their
lives watching titles just to be ten points closer to derision?
