They are doing Phantasy Star Universe (at least i think thats what its
called) but i'm not 100% sure which platforms it is due out on.

Think it's PS2, PC and 360, with the PS2 and PC sharing a Universe and the
360 all on its own. Or at least that was the state when I last saw
something on it.

I heard November for PS2/3 PC and they can play together whereas 360 is
later (2007 early) and will only be able to connect to other 360 games.

You're right. The fact that it was in the EGM "Next-gen preview" feature made
me assume it was coming to a next-gen console.
