If you don't take 21 levels of Ranger, you need 25 Dex for this feat.
That means either
1. You start with 18 and put all 7 level-up points into it, taking it at
29th level
2. You start with 20 (must be a race that gets +2 Dex) and put 5
level-up points into it, taking it at 21.
3. You put extra points into it somehow.
I'm interested in #3. I know you can take the Great Dexterity feat - but
only after level 21.
Are there any other ways to boost your Dex to meet this requirement? If
it was 25 STR I needed I could take 10 levels of RDD, but 25 seems
almost impossible.
Are there any items which grant permanent stat boosts? (I'm thinking of
the Manual Of Gainful Exercise and the like, from Baldur's Gate.)

Yup, there are instantaneous (not permanent, that could be diseplled!)
stat-boosting items up to +5.
You also could do it with an item but you would lose the use of the
feat if you didn't have the item. |

Thanks - good to know. I'll look out for them.

That didn't work for me. I tried a char with Dex 12, put a +2 item on him so
his Dex went up to 14, and when he levelled up he couldn't choose the Dodge
feat (req. Dex 13).
Ho hum. I went with a Tiefling for my Perfect 2-weapon build anyway, so I
started with 20 Dex and I will just reach 25 base Dex at level 20, if I
don't find any permanent boosts.
Cheers,

Apparently the game doesn't follow the rules.
As for the instantaneous boost items--I don't know if they are in the
game or not. |
